The city of Kenitra and its area have already begun to attract international investors. Groups Japanese SUMITOMO (SEWS) and YAZAKI, specializing in the manufacture of automotive wiring, respectively, have invested 240 million dirhams and 236 million dirhams with a workforce of 4,300 people for the first and 1600 people respectively. A third investor, the French group "FAURECIA" built a unit of automotive seat covers for a total of 110 million dirhams employing 650 people.
According to the director of IRC, Jamal Attari, the Gharb region has huge potential and is an area of future investment in excellence.
